DY Fixed Panel Filter

The DY Panel Filter is a fixed panel dry arrestance type unit (also available as gel-coated) suitable for use in most air conditioning and ventilation systems. It is also suitable for use as a prefilter in high efficiency air filtration systems and in light industrial applications. 

DY filters can be easily made up into banks to suit any given air capacity by riveting the holding frames together. 

The DY filter consists of two basic parts – the mounting frame and the filter cell. The mounting frame has provision for mounting in banks and incorporates spring clips. The frame is constructed of aluminium or galvabond steel and is fitted with a sealing strip to avoid air leakage when the filter cell is in place.  

The Panel filter cell comprises a galvanised steel frame containing the filter media held in place between two galvabond pieces of steel mesh. The filter media is manufactured from graded synthetic fibres laid up in gradulated layers, bonded and subsequently baked. 

 

Standard Specification 

The DY Panel Filters shall be Email handling DY or approved equal, surface area (see table), fitted with synthetic fibre filtering material requiring no adhesives. 

At rated capacity, average efficiency by AS1324.2 test procedure shall be not less than (see table)%. 

The filter shall withstand a minimum increase of 125Pa above initial resistance. The mounting frame shall be galvabond (or aluminium) to resist corrosion 

How to order 

  1. Obtain media range requirements/filter sizes to suit your application i.e. L x W = m2
  2. Refer to the table for nearest media range.
  3. To order, quote part number from table and required filter face dimensions in mm

   

 Note: Maximum length for a single side on DY filters should not exceed 800mm. Minimum recommended length is 200mm. Mounting frames and hardware to suit DY Filters is available on request
